VOX has grown from a family-led European business into a global design brand. What have been the key milestones in this journey?
VOX began its journey in Europe in 1989 as a family-led business with a strong focus on design, functionality, and innovation. Over the years, the brand expanded its portfolio from interior solutions to a wider range of ceiling, wall, flooring, skirting and façade systems, while establishing a presence across more than 60+ countries.
A key milestone has been VOX’s ability to combine European design thinking with practical, performance-driven solutions for contemporary architecture. The brand entered India in 2018 through a strategic partnership with the promoters of Ashirvad Pipes, marking an important milestone in its expansion across India and the wider Asian market.
Since then, VOX has established a growing presence across more than 300+ Indian cities, supported by local manufacturing, a strong professional network and a portfolio designed to meet the evolving requirements of Indian spaces.
Today, VOX continues to evolve by bringing together design, technology and functionality, creating innovative solutions that respond to changing architectural and interior trends while strengthening its global presence.

What was the vision behind bringing VOX to India, and how important is the Indian market to your global growth plans?
India presented an exciting opportunity because of its rapidly evolving architecture and interiors ecosystem, growing design awareness and demand for solutions that combine aesthetics with performance.
The vision behind bringing VOX to India was to introduce contemporary European design solutions while developing products and systems that respond to local requirements. Over the years, we have increasingly focused on understanding Indian climatic conditions, construction practices and the evolving expectations of architects, designers and homeowners.
India is now an important market in VOX’s global growth strategy. Our local manufacturing capabilities, growing distribution network and engagement with the architecture and design community reflect our long-term commitment to the country.
VOX introduced soffit ceiling solutions to India. What inspired this focus, and how do your ceiling, wall, skirting and façade systems address today’s design needs?
The focus on soffit ceilings came from recognising the need for a more versatile and design-oriented approach to overhead spaces. Traditionally, ceilings have often been treated primarily as functional elements. VOX looked at the ceiling as an important architectural surface that can contribute to the overall character of a space.
Our ceiling, wall, skirting and façade systems are designed to bring together aesthetics, functionality and ease of application. They offer architects and designers flexibility in creating coordinated surfaces across different parts of a building, while also addressing practical requirements such as durability, low maintenance and suitability for Indian environmental conditions.
This approach allows surfaces to become an integral part of the design language rather than simply a finishing layer.

What makes Welo Panels a versatile solution for walls and ceilings, and what design possibilities do they offer?
Welo Panels offer designers the flexibility to create a continuous visual language across walls and ceilings. Their clean, contemporary appearance allows them to work across a variety of interior styles, from residential and hospitality spaces to commercial environments.
The panels can be used to introduce rhythm, depth and visual definition to otherwise plain surfaces. Designers can also use them selectively to highlight particular architectural areas or create a stronger sense of continuity between vertical and overhead surfaces.
This versatility makes Welo suitable for spaces where the ceiling and wall treatment need to work together as part of one cohesive design.

What are the key design and performance benefits of the Infratop Ceiling System for contemporary spaces?
Infratop is designed to bring a refined, architectural finish to ceilings while addressing the practical requirements of contemporary spaces. Its clean linear appearance can complement a wide range of architectural styles and works particularly well with integrated and layered lighting.
The system is designed for durability and low maintenance, while its performance characteristics make it suitable for Indian climatic conditions. It is waterproof, termite-proof, and fire-retardant, making it a practical alternative for spaces where both design and long-term performance are important.
For architects and designers, one of the key advantages is the ability to create a distinctive ceiling language without compromising on functionality.

What makes Linerio Wall Panels distinctive, and how can designers use them to create textured and characterful interiors?
Linerio Wall Panels bring depth, texture and a sense of rhythm to interior spaces through their distinctive linear profile. They allow designers to move beyond flat wall surfaces and introduce a more layered and tactile visual language.
They can be used for feature walls, accent areas, or larger surface applications across residential, hospitality and commercial spaces. The interplay of lines, shadows and light adds character to the interiors while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic.
What are VOX’s plans for India in terms of new products, technologies, collaborations or design innovations?
Our focus for India will continue to be on expanding the portfolio while developing solutions that respond to the evolving needs of architects, designers and consumers.
We see significant opportunities in creating more integrated surface solutions across ceilings, walls, flooring, skirting and façades, with a continued emphasis on design flexibility, performance and ease of application. We will also continue investing in local manufacturing and strengthening our engagement with the architecture and design community.
Collaborations with architects, designers, creators and other industry stakeholders will remain an important part of this journey. Ultimately, our objective is to make innovative surface solutions more accessible while continuing to bring a strong design perspective to the Indian built environment.
