Leading the conversation on sustainable development and future-ready infrastructure, the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, in strategic partnership with the Indian Green Building Council, will organise a two-day Certificate Course on Net Zero Buildings on May 28 and 29, 2026, at the IIT Bombay campus in Powai, Mumbai.
Designed for professionals across the construction and built environment sectors, the programme aims to provide in-depth knowledge and practical insights into planning, designing, and implementing net-zero building practices. The course is expected to benefit architects, engineers, consultants, project managers, developers, and sustainability professionals looking to strengthen their expertise in green building and climate-responsive design.
The intensive training programme will cover a wide range of subjects, including sustainable architecture, climate-responsive building design, energy efficiency and systems integration, renewable energy integration, net-zero water strategies, low-carbon materials, indoor environmental quality, life cycle analysis of buildings, and IGBC Net Zero Certification frameworks. Participants will also receive an introduction to building energy modelling and emerging approaches to occupant wellbeing within sustainable environments.
Scheduled from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM on both days, the programme will be conducted at the IIT Bombay campus, Powai, Mumbai. The course fee is ₹23,000 plus GST. In addition to the certification course, all participants will receive one complimentary attempt for the IGBC Accredited Professional (IGBC AP) Examination. Upon successful completion, participants will also be awarded a certificate from IIT Bombay.
