Abner’s New Experience Centre in Worli, Mumbai

Abner has opened its first Experience Centre in Worli, Mumbai, creating a dedicated physical space for the brand’s architectural and decorative lighting collections. This centre marks a significant step in Abner’s engagement with India’s architectural and design community, bringing its work together in a setting where lighting can be experienced within a larger design context.

The brand has introduced concrete outdoor lighting, Spanish alabaster decorative lighting and marble-based exterior lighting to the Indian market, combining European design sensibilities with engineering tailored to Indian lifestyles and climates. This approach comes together at the Experience Centre through Abner’s Stone, Concrete, Marble and Architectural Lighting collections, spanning both decorative and integrated lighting solutions. Each solution can also be customised to suit the specific requirements of a project, allowing designers and architects to adapt the lighting to different spaces, applications and design needs.

Designed by Karan Desai, the space features warm terracotta surfaces, curved forms, recessed niches and built-in seating, creating a dynamic journey through the space. Dark accents, black metal, natural moss and translucent elements form a considered backdrop for the lighting, allowing the collections to be experienced across different settings and applications.

Over the years, Abner has completed more than 1,000 projects across the residential, retail and hospitality sectors and works with a network of over 120 architects and interior designers across the country to develop customised lighting solutions. Its dedicated manufacturing facility in Bhiwandi further enables greater customisation, quality control and reliable delivery timelines, allowing the brand to bring together design intent and technical execution under one ecosystem.
