Alloy Launches as a Unified Design Practice Bringing Together Three Established Studios

A new multidisciplinary architecture and interior design practice, Alloy, has officially launched, bringing together the expertise of three established studios—The Ink Studio Co., Limited Edition Design Studio, and BT Desiign—under one integrated brand in Mumbai. More than a new firm, Alloy represents the coming together of decades of experience, complementary design philosophies, and a shared vision to create architecture and interiors that are timeless, contextual, and collaborative.

Led by founders Rupesh Shah, Bhavisha Thakur, Chintan Patel, Bijal Shah, and Bhumika Patel, the practice combines over 85 years of collective experience and a portfolio of more than 1,200 completed projects across luxury residences, hospitality, commercial, retail, and large-scale developments.

The launch was hosted in an 80-year-old restored bungalow in Mumbai, a space that reflects the studio’s philosophy of blending architectural heritage with contemporary design. The historic property has been thoughtfully transformed into Alloy’s creative headquarters, symbolising the evolution of experience into a forward-looking design practice.

A key highlight of the launch was “The Making of Alloy,” an immersive storytelling experience presented through installations across the bungalow. The exhibition traced the firm’s journey through chapters including The Founders, A Name Worth Building, The Convergence of Alloy, Years Before Alloy, Before & After: The Studio Transformation, and The Team, offering guests an insight into the vision and values behind the new practice.

With completed projects across India, Australia, and Miami, and upcoming developments in Dubai, Alloy enters the market with an established international presence. Collectively, the founders have designed over one million square feet of built environments for HNI and celebrity clients, earning recognition for design excellence across diverse sectors.

Looking ahead, Alloy plans to expand its presence across India while strengthening its global footprint through integrated architecture, interior design, and multidisciplinary design solutions.

Speaking about the launch, the founders said, “Alloy was never conceived as a new beginning. It is the result of years of individual growth, shared values, and the belief that bringing together diverse expertise creates a practice greater than the sum of its parts. Every founder contributes a distinct perspective, yet every project is shaped collectively.”
