Classic Marble Company (CMC) is taking marble design to the next level by expanding into bespoke furniture and décor, transforming the material into distinctive statement pieces.
At the heart of this exploration is Robotor, CMC’s AI-powered marble-carving technology, which enables intricate forms and highly detailed designs to be realised in natural stone with exceptional precision. A pioneer in adopting this technology, with exclusive access in Asia, CMC brings together AI, advanced machining and the artistry of marble to translate complex designs into stone. The technology is housed at CMC’s state-of-the-art manufacturing and processing facility in Silvassa, alongside its expansive Experience Centre, one of the largest in Asia.
A distinctive canvas for this exploration is Namibian Crystal White, an exclusive CMC marble known for its exceptional whiteness, structural strength and refined finish. Its inherent robustness, combined with the finesse of its natural character, provides a compelling foundation for creative experimentation. These qualities allow CMC to explore a wide range of expressions, from intricately detailed artefacts to highly personalised design elements.
In collaboration with reD Architects, CMC’s foray into bespoke furniture and décor brings this design approach to life through distinctive pieces for contemporary interiors. The collection reinterprets familiar home décor forms through sculptural design and precise detailing. Highlights include Featherweight, a low seating piece inspired by Rajwara aesthetics; Thirty Degrees, a seat created from two blocks; and Axis, featuring slim brass shelves that hold distinctive artefacts.

Beyond furniture, Robotor enables CMC to create bespoke décor elements and intricate sculptures. One notable example is The White Knight, a Batman sculpture carved from Namibian Crystal White using this technology. The piece demonstrates how contemporary forms can be realised in marble with remarkable precision while preserving the material’s natural character and structural integrity.
Robotor forms part of CMC’s broader technology ecosystem, complemented by Forza360, its advanced marble-processing technology for precision cutting, finishing and polishing. Together, these capabilities bring technology and craftsmanship into closer dialogue, enabling CMC to work with the inherent individuality of natural stone while maintaining a high degree of precision throughout the creation process.
For architects and interior designers, this opens up a more expansive design vocabulary, particularly for luxury residences, hospitality environments and high-end commercial spaces. It brings together the qualities that make marble enduringly desirable, including natural rarity, individuality and craftsmanship, with the freedom to create forms tailored to a specific space, brief or design vision.
