The Nest stands as a striking example of how a good design can transform a space

Designed by Muse Lab, The Nest stands as a striking example of how design can transform a space, blending warmth, creativity, and joy, with each corner telling its own unique story.

Designing a space isn’t merely about arranging furniture or selecting colour schemes; it’s about crafting an immersive experience that resonates with the very essence of those who inhabit it. The Nest, nestled within the vibrant cityscape of Ahmedabad, stands as a monument to this ethos. This 6,500 sq ft, three-storey space is more than just a home, it’s a sanctuary of warmth and joy, curated to reflect the unique spirit of Ekta, Dhruv, Rianna, and Zoya, a spirit that is sure to captivate and intrigue you.

From the moment one enters the home, they are enveloped in an atmosphere of whimsy and delight. The entrance foyer, adorned with personalised art by the talented Ujjval Noya, serves as a playful introduction to the home’s eclectic aesthetic. Peppy patterns in Kota flooring guide visitors toward a trio of Roly Poly chairs by Driade, their curvaceous forms inviting guests to linger and unwind. A bespoke totem by Harshita Jhamtani stands sentinel in one corner, while a bone-inlay chest of drawers whispers tales of distant lands. Even the entrance door itself, with its contemporary motifs and dark walnut finish, seems to beckon guests into a world of wonder and imagination, inspiring and uplifting all who enter.

Ascending the staircase, one is treated to a visual symphony of textures and shapes. The wooden handrail, lovingly crafted to perfection, offers a comforting anchor amidst the swirling chaos of design. Fabricated balustrades, concealing hidden light fixtures, cast a soft glow upon each step, guiding visitors toward the upper half of the home. And who could overlook the delightful surprise of the Tetris-like Kota skirting, playfully adorning the edges of the staircase and inviting curious glances from below.

The Galleria, with its walls awash in a soothing shade of Pacific blue, serves as an oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life. Here, a piece de résistance by Prityanshi, takes centre stage – a lenticular art piece depicting rolling hills and sun-kissed beaches. A patterned runner by Cocoon Rugs adds a splash of colour to the floor, its intricate weave a nod to the family’s love of texture and pattern. But perhaps the true heart of The Nest lies just beyond the galleria; in the form of a sparkling pool and poolside deck, accessible via a set of elegant French doors. Inspired by Rianna’s whimsical Koi Pond art, the pool floor becomes a canvas for her creativity, each brush stroke a celebration of family and love. As sunlight dances upon the water’s surface, casting shimmering reflections across the walls, one can’t help but feel a sense of serenity and peace wash over them.

Venturing further into the home, one discovers a living space that is as cosy as it is chic. The living room, dining area, and dry kitchen blend into one another, creating a harmonious flow that is both inviting and practical. Here, form meets function in perfect harmony; from the form-finished concrete ceiling to the polished Kota flooring, every element is carefully curated to evoke a sense of understated elegance. And of course, no family gathering would be complete without a feast fit for royalty, served upon the mammoth dining table crafted by The Klein Bottle, its intricate inlay details an ode to the craftsmanship that defines every corner of The Nest.

As the day draws to a close, the first floor beckons with promises of relaxation. The master bedroom, with its faceted geometry and pine wood-clad ceiling, offers a retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Here, soft linens and plush furnishings beckon weary souls to sink into blissful slumber, while the gentle hum of the city outside lulls them into peaceful dreams. Meanwhile, the daughters’ bedroom transforms its own, mirroring the girls’ growth and evolving tastes. A watercolour wallpaper, reminiscent of pages torn from an art book, serves as the backdrop for countless adventures and late-night chats. And in the lounge, with its leather-finished kadappa flooring and minty green accents, one can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over them, as memories of laughter and love echo through its walls.

Ultimately, The Nest is more than just a home; it’s a space full of love and laughter, an abode where memories are made and dreams take flight. It’s a testament to the power of design to evoke emotion, inspire creativity, and bring people together in the most magical of ways. Welcome to The Nest; where every detail tells a story, and every corner is filled with love.
