Thanks & Beyond, the latest venture by seasoned entrepreneur Priyank Sukhija, delivers exceptional culinary experiences set against the backdrop of passionately designed interiors by Natelier by Bent Chair. This design studio, led by the visionary daughter-father duo Natasha Jain and Neeraj Jain, has crafted a space that seamlessly blends diverse themes into a cohesive and captivating dining journey. Natelier by Bentchair has been designing restaurants since the past 8 years with numerous completed projects under its belt like Bizou Bizou, Talk, Bougie and Miso Sexy to name a few. The design ideology behind these spaces combine aesthetics with functionality, creating an environment that is as captivating as it is comfortable.
Located in the vibrant food and entertainment hub of Epicuria in Nehru Place, Delhi, and spread across a vast 8,000 sq. ft., Thanks & Beyond offers three distinct yet interconnected experiences. The place offers a rustic yet chic charm with textured walls to add character and faux animal print scattered across the ceiling to give a playful nod. Each area within the restaurant is designed to captivate and enchant, inviting patrons to embark on a journey of exploration and sensory delight. Sharing the design inspiration, Natasha Jain, Co-Founder and CEO, Natelier by Bent Chair, says, “The interiors of “Thanks & Beyond” are a thoughtful fusion of Japandi and Boho design styles, which results in a space that offers a unique and inviting atmosphere.
Both styles bring distinct qualities to the table, and combining them creates an environment that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.” The design team aimed to create a space that embraces the simplicity and functionality of Japandi aesthetics while incorporating the eclectic and relaxed vibe of Boho design. “Central to our vision was the Pantone Color of the Year, “Mocha Mousse,” which adds a touch of warmth and elegance to the overall ambiance. The interiors have been thoughtfully curated to be minimal yet impactful, with an emphasis on natural materials, clean lines, and subtle textures. Our goal was to ensure the space feels warm and inviting, making every guest feel at home while enjoying a tranquil and welcoming atmosphere”, adds Natasha.
The main idea for Thanks & Beyond was to have three different spaces coexist while also having a seamless flow between them. The seating capacity of the restaurant has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate 200 guests in total, with 110 indoor covers and 90 outdoor covers. “Seamless space planning was achieved through the use of expansive glass facades in both the “Thanks” and “Beyond” sections, which naturally lead into the central “&” area, creating a fluid connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. This design ensures a harmonious flow and enhances the overall dining experience”, informs Natasha.
Step into Thanks, a cozy and stylish all-day café, where the ambiance invites you to unwind and stay awhile. The micro-concrete floors flow effortlessly across the space, offering a serene and seamless foundation that grounds the café’s design. Fluted walls with distressed textured paints add character, infusing the environment with a rustic yet chic charm. At the center of it all is the sleek, black bar, featuring fluted designs that offer a modern contrast to the room’s earthy tones. Uniquely, the bar counter aligns with the bar service and equipment, giving it the feel of a home kitchen island—familiar and inviting. Faux animal prints scattered across the ceiling give a playful nod to safari-style décor, complementing the organic, natural flow of the furniture. The seating arrangement, a serpentine blend of boucle and leather in soft beige tones, enhances the café’s intimate, yet modern aesthetic.
Escape to &, a lush, tropical-inspired outdoor retreat designed for those who crave a breath of fresh air. This space offers a Tuscan-like atmosphere, characterized by earthy tones and natural materials. The white and grey color scheme, combined with lush greenery, transports you to a Mediterranean garden. Outdoor seating is thoughtfully arranged to encourage a leisurely, relaxed dining experience, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Finally, step into Beyond, an ultra-contemporary lounge that pushes the boundaries of design. Here, micro-concrete dark floors set the tone for a space that exudes sophistication and modernity. At the heart of the room, the majestic quartz bar stands fully lit, almost like a piece of fine jewelry, instantly drawing attention. Sculptures hand-carved on-site line the walls, giving the space a cave-like allure that adds to its mysterious vibe.
The sleek, flat dark walls enhance the chic, minimalist atmosphere, while lounge-style leather furniture and community tables create a dynamic social space for intimate conversations or larger gatherings. The overall ceiling of the space captivates with concave lights, casting a soft, diffused glow, while the sunrooflike centerpiece adds an open-air feel to the space. Also the minimalist architectural lighting further accentuates the clean, straight lines of the interiors, ensuring the space remains polished and slick, while maintaining an inviting warmth. “As far as the material palette is concerned, this space offers a Tuscan-like atmosphere, characterized by earthy tones and natural materials.
