The Yokoso Sizzlers, the new restaurant in Pune designed by Interior designer Sachin Parab has a quirky and playful ambience.
The hospitality industry is booming, and with fierce competition, every restaurant owner wants a unique decor and ambience to serve their customized delicacies. Moving away from the usual design for a restaurant Interior designer Sachin Parab, Focus design studio OPC has given a different and opulent feel to Yokoso Sizzlers in Nalstop, Pune.
As the name suggests, the restaurant’s decor is inspired by Japanese cuisine. This restaurant spread over an area of 4,500 sq. ft is spread over two levels. Explaining the design concept Interior designer Sachin Parab says, “One of the challenges in the project design was a tight budget and the double height ceiling.” His response was to employ an extensive palette of colours, exclusive furnishings and custom-designed light fixtures to enhance the double height.
As the owner wanted to retain the old flooring, here the design team designed a graphic print on the flooring, to break the monotony.
Further finer details like a wooden wall fan, customised wall art and pine wood checker frame add value to the decor. “The ground floor has two sections, one with a live kitchen and seating, and other sections has a stage for live performances and celebrations like birthday parties, orchestra etc. It also has a colourful hand-painted mock-tail counter with a beautiful backlit display.” There are different types of seating spread across the floor, where the customized colourful wall art by artist Santosh Padelkar accentuates the overall Japanese theme of the restaurant.
This multi-cuisine restaurant has a lot to offer with various options of delicacies and drinks truly making this place worth while.
