Tushar Mistry, Principal Architect/Designer, Tushar Mistry Design Studio says, “This residence was envisioned as a haven of clean lines, natural materials, and open spaces, finely cued into the lifestyle and preferences of the homeowners. But from the outset, the design brief considered every aspect of the home as a balance of functionality and aesthetic appeal, blending modern minimalism with warm and inviting elements.”
The neutral colour palette assists in defining the residence, with whites and beige serving as a soothing backdrop for warm wood tones and judiciously applied bold colour accents. The open-concept layout ensures a seamless continuity between kitchen, dining, and living spaces that maximises natural light and encourages an inviting flow. Warm colours throughout enhance the cosy and bright ambiance of the home making the space seems expansive, yet intimate.
The simple but vibrant living room is anchored by a swing set against an eye-catching wall art. Since modern design prioritizes clean, clutter-free spaces, every element here has been carefully curated towards an uncluttered décor, emphasising form and function. Tushar further informs, “Smart space planning guarantees that every corner of the home is optimally leveraged, and furniture and features are chosen for both aesthetic appeal and useful contributions. Integral part of the design process, storage solutions are incorporated to uphold the clean and uncluttered philosophy of modern minimalism”. Walnut veneer, for example, accompanied by clear mirror, as well as careful integration of wood, metal, glass, and fabric adds several layers of texture and depth, and makes for a rich and cohesive design solution.
