The EKAANT Villa in Alibaug by GA design perfectly embraces its natural surroundings through its earthy, rustic interiors.

Spread across 3,500 sq. ft., this 4-bedroom villa, aptly known as EKAANT Villa is lavishly spread over the ground and first floor offering irresistible views of mountains and valleys in the Bhomoli region of Alibaug. Designed by Sachin Goregaoker partner & Shami Goregaoker, designer director at GA design, this is an earthy-themed villa which embraces natural materials, organic shapes and a palette inspired by elements of nature.

The brief was to design a villa that included spacious bedrooms, a study for WFH days, open spaces for yoga and for the interiors, a look that was minimalist bordering on bare, but warm and inviting at the same time. Explaining the design process, the designers say, “Ekaant Villa was designed for its residents to relax. The focus, was on easy breezy interiors, with light and wind flowing through. There is so much natural beauty all around that it was only reasonable to keep the décor as simple and nature-inspired as possible. The theme reverberates throughout with the use of natural materials. Warm Kota flooring with natural finish and textured walls in a soft beige set the perfect canvas for warm breezy interiors. A mix of exposed brick, wooden ceiling, rough wood rafters with a combination of natural fabrics like cool linens and breezy cottons create a serene and inviting atmosphere.”

Spread across a ground and first floor, the villa’s aesthetic is rooted in nature. Reinforcing the natural theme, with a hint of quirk, at the entrance, two wooden ladders with rope lights usher you into a large living room with a beautiful sloped, double-height ceiling. The leather-finished Kota floor adds texture, while cane pendant lamps cast a warm glow.

The villa is dotted with Bali furniture, live edge benches, custom made rustic wood cabinets and bamboo pendant lights that cast a warm glow. The center tables in the living room are logs of wood cut in florets while large natural tree branches with glass globes light up the corners. A collection of accessories from travels across the world, woven baskets, terracotta pots, stone ware, all of these perfectly compliment the natural floor and wall finishes of the villa, making it look like a beautiful country-side den to spend your weekends in.

Every detail in the EKAANT Villa is imbued with a sense of serenity and wonder, inviting residents to pause, reflect and immerse themselves in the timeless beauty of their surroundings, while enjoying the calm inside.
