TOTO Ltd. Makes the S&P Global Sustainability Top 10%- and Sweeps Three Design Awards

Japanese sanitaryware giant TOTO Ltd. has capped 2026 with a landmark sweep- a spot in S&P Global’s elite Sustainability Yearbook and back-to-back wins at the Red Dot, iF Design, and Green Good Design Awards.

TOTO Ltd., one of the world’s leading manufacturers of sanitaryware and bathroom solutions, has secured a place in the top 10% of the Sustainability Yearbook 2026 Rankings, published by S&P Global- a globally recognised investment research and evaluation body. The ranking evaluates over 9,200 organisations on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) parameters, making TOTO’s inclusion a significant marker of the brand’s commitment to responsible business practices.

The recognition is rooted in TOTO’s long-term sustainability roadmap, the TOTO WILL 2030 strategy, which aligns business growth with environmental stewardship and social value creation. The strategy underpins the company’s operations globally, from product development to supply chain management.

On the design front, TOTO received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2026 for multiple products- the G Selection Shower, the New WASHLET series, and G faucets- after a rigorous evaluation by an international panel of design experts assessing innovation, functionality, and quality. These wins reinforce TOTO’s standing as a brand where cutting-edge technology meets intuitive design.

The Green Good Design Award 2026- a global honour celebrating environmentally responsible design and advanced technology was awarded to TOTO for the NEOREST LS W/AS W, a WASHLET-integrated toilet featuring stool scanning technology and eco-remote control, as well as two variants of the G Selection Shower. This marks the seventh time TOTO has received this award, underlining a consistent track record of eco-conscious innovation.

Further strengthening its design credentials, TOTO also won the iF Design Award 2026, one of the most prestigious global design awards. The G Selection Shower and the newly launched WASHLET were highly commended in the Product Design category. Notably, 2026 marks the thirteenth consecutive year TOTO has been recognised in this category- along with its first-ever acknowledgement in the User Experience (UX) category.

According to the spokesperson, “These recognitions solidify our commitment to integrating sustainability, innovation and design excellence at the core of our business. True innovation lies in creating products that enhance everyday living.”

With over a century of legacy behind it, TOTO continues to embed ESG principles across its operations and product development pipeline. The 2026 recognitions reflect how the brand is positioning itself at the intersection of wellness innovation, sustainable design, and global design excellence- reinforcing why TOTO remains a benchmark name in the sanitaryware industry.
