Japanese Finesse

Stunning Lamps

Paris Haus, the luxury home atelier founded by designer Parisha Shodhan, introduces a new collection of embroidered lamps that brings the intricacy of handwork into an unexpected territory. The Celestial Wonder lamps explore an earthy palette of sand, champagne, bronze and black. Across their tapered shades, embroidery moves in sweeping, irregular bands, almost like mineral veins or an abstract landscape. Fine beadwork and metallic threads sit against translucent fabric, catching points of light without overwhelming the pattern. The floor lamp is kept deliberately slender, with a polished brass sphere interrupting its long stem, while the pendant carries the same embroidered language overhead. A different mood arrives with Skybells. Deep midnight-blue shades are crossed by branching trails of silver and metallic embroidery, their wandering lines resembling vines, constellations or cracks of light across a night sky. The floor lamp pairs the embroidered shade with a sculptural stem composed of graduating metallic spheres. Its pendant counterpart strips the form back, allowing the blue shade and its glimmering surface to command attention. The craftsmanship is ethereal enough to hold the eye in daylight, while illumination reveals another dimension in its threads, textures and sheen.

Bejewelled Cushions

Studio by Agni, unveils the new cushion that uses the warm, saturated shade as a backdrop for elaborate floral embroidery, allowing the colour to peek through between densely worked blooms, leaves and curling stems. The result feels cheerful and decorative, with just enough gleam from zari to give the surface another dimension. Jewel’s embroidery brings together viscose and zari yarn, using their contrasting finishes to build the pattern. Viscose gives the flowers a smooth lustre, while metallic zari appears in finer accents, catching light without turning the cushion overtly glittery. Against the mustard ground, the embroidered colours become richer and more pronounced, giving the composition the intensity of an old botanical textile interpreted at a contemporary scale. The reverse is finished in velvet, introducing a plush, uncomplicated surface against the elaborate embroidery. A concealed zip along the lower edge keeps the silhouette clean and makes the cover easy to remove. Jewel works particularly well against ivory, tan, olive, rust or deep brown upholstery, where the mustard ground brings warmth without disappearing into the setting. It can sit alone on an armchair or be mixed with plainer cushions on a sofa or bed. With this cushion, Studio by Agni lets colour do as much work as craft. Mustard provides the drama; viscose, zari and meticulous embroidery supply the detail.

Stunning Sculptures

House of Lalittya approaches sculpture beyond the conventional pedestal piece. In one dining space, a small bird sits almost playfully on a marble-topped table. Its rounded silhouette breaks the strict geometry of the panelled wall behind it, while suspended glass discs hover overhead at different heights. Together, these forms prevent an otherwise restrained setting of cream, walnut and muted upholstery from becoming too formal. Scale changes the equation in the living spaces. A deep green sculptural lounge chair, with its exaggerated headrest and sweeping seat, reads almost as a single continuous gesture against a wall of glass. Beside it, a faceted metallic head brings another personality into the composition. Neither piece is there simply to fill a corner. In another space, sculpture is found in the furniture itself. A cluster of irregular brass and pale stone centre tables spreads across the carpet like an abstract composition, their fragmented geometry countering the softness of curved ivory seating. Another living room takes the opposite route: low tables with generous bowl-like tops and bulbous timber bases repeat across the centre, their dark wood adding weight to a pale, almost monochromatic room. House of Lalittya treats sculptural décor as part of the architecture of a room, because the piece you add last can completely change how everything around it is seen.

Blending art and utility

Nivasa expands its world of interiors with a new décor collection that looks beyond conventional accessories. The collection moves between art and utility. A dramatic bronze-toned sculpture, shaped almost like an ancient tree formation, rises from a cylindrical console and becomes an arresting focal point. Behind it, abstract wall panels trace irregular, fluid contours across an otherwise restrained surface. An elongated wall sculpture is constructed from looping, rope-like forms, its open structure casting intricate shadows as the light changes.

The pieces become more playful at closer quarters. Hand￾modelled figurines with curious expressions gather across a marble-topped console, while an oversized ceramic vessel takes the form of a fantastical teapot. Its rough, painterly surface and deep greens, blues and earthy browns bring an almost archaeological quality to the setting. Smaller bowls, vessels and objects sit alongside it rather than matching it, creating a display that feels collected over time. The furniture supporting these pieces is deliberately restrained. Rounded consoles, slim metal rails, softly illuminated shelves and pale stone tops create a subdued backdrop. Tall cylindrical cabinets and open shelving bring verticality, while textured cabinet fronts introduce another tactile note. A palette of taupe, bronze, charcoal and muted wood keeps attention on form rather than colour. With its latest décor collection, the brand explores the smaller pieces that can alter the personality of a room, from sculptural ceramics and art objects to wall pieces and statement vessels.

Functional Facades

At Studio Ardete, the facade is never just the face of the building. It is a screen, a filter, a climate device, a privacy layer and, very often, the most playful part of the architecture. The result is a series of designs where the exterior feels animated, almost mischievous, yet every unusual gesture has a clear purpose. In one, terracotta-toned blocks are set within deep black frames to create a graphic second skin. The patterned screens break the harshness of the sun, temper views from the street and still allow light and air to move through. Their repetitive rhythm gives the elevation a strong identity without making it feel closed off. What makes these facades memorable is not quirkiness for its own sake. Their personality comes from how cleverly they work. They shade, screen, ventilate, frame and protect, all while giving each building a character that could belong to no other. For Studio Ardete, that is where a facade becomes interesting: when it performs beautifully and looks impossible to ignore.

Reliable & Efficient

Ensuring a dependable and long-lasting water source is critical for domestic, agricultural, and industrial needs and borewells play a vital role in meeting this demand. With its deep understanding of field requirements, Supreme Industries offers a complete range of casing and column pipes, backed by advanced technology and superior materials. Designed to overcome the limitations of conventional metal pipes, these products provide exceptional corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and ease of installation. Rigorously tested for quality and performance, Supreme’s borewell solutions have received the trust of engineers, drilling contractors, and end-users.

One of the major reasons for tube well failure is corrosion and encrustation in conventional metal pipes. Corrosion damages strainer screens, allowing sand to enter the well, while encrustation reduces the internal diameter and flow efficiency, making the system unserviceable over time. Supreme has addressed these issues with its uPVC casing pipes, made from specially developed PVC compounds that offer superior resistance to corrosion, encrustation, and chemical attack. Supreme casing pipes are non-toxic, durable, and easy to install with threaded joints. They do not impart any taste, colour, or odour to water and pose no health risks. These pipes are available in a wide range of varieties, including IS:12818 and ASTM D:1785 compliant pipes, ribbed screen casing pipes, SDR series for shallow depths, and plain or slotted (screen) pipes. They are ideally suited for domestic, agricultural, industrial, and Supreme column pipes are engineered to deliver exceptional strength, durability, and reliability in submersible pump installations. Manufactured using specially formulated uPVC compounds and the latest technology, these pipes are rigorously tested to withstand the combined weight of the pump, water column, and pipe assembly, with adequate safety margins. One of the key features of these pipes is their unique square thread design, which ensures robust joints capable of absorbing shock and jerk loads during operation. These threads not only provide superior tensile strength but also allow for easy joining and rejoining, an advantage during installation and maintenance. To ensure leak-proof performance, the pipes are fitted with specially designed ‘D’ type and flat rubber sealing rings, which offer a tight seal while absorbing pump vibrations.

Specially designed column pipes are available in 25 to 100mm (1″ to 4″) dia in eight varieties for different installation depths up to 1500 ft. Millions of successful installations across the country and overseas have proved the performance of Supreme column pipes.
