CenturyPly Introduces Total Cover, India’s First Comprehensive Plywood Warranty

CenturyPly has announced the launch of Total Cover, which it describes as India’s first comprehensive warranty commitment on plywood. Applicable to its Club Prime and Architect Ply ranges, the programme reimburses the full furniture-related costs arising from a covered defect confirmed within ten years of purchase. In addition to replacing the plywood, the warranty also covers the cost of laminates or veneers, adhesives, labour and transportation.

The initiative stems from a key consumer insight: while buyers can evaluate the appearance of plywood, they cannot assess the qualities that determine its long-term performance. As a result, purchasing decisions often rely on manufacturers’ claims. With similar assurances becoming commonplace across the category, CenturyPly believes that meaningful trust can only be established through a commitment backed by financial accountability.

The concept for Total Cover evolved over the past two and a half years after the company centralised customer complaints from across India into a single system, enabling its leadership team to closely study consumer experiences. The analysis revealed that customers were rarely concerned only about the plywood itself. Instead, they highlighted the additional expenses and inconvenience of replacing laminates, paying for labour a second time, transporting materials and rebuilding furniture. In response, CenturyPly spent the next two years resolving such cases comprehensively while strengthening its service network and technical assessment processes. The company launched Total Cover only after establishing the operational capability to deliver the commitment nationwide.

According to CenturyPly, a warranty of this scale reflects its confidence in the quality and consistency of its products, extending that assurance to customers through comprehensive financial protection.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Keshav Bhajanka, Executive Director, CenturyPly, said:

“Two and a half years of studying customer experiences taught us something uncomfortable: today’s consumer doesn’t know whom to believe. So many claims have been made by different companies over the years, that trust itself has worn thin. That is why Total Cover is not another product claim. It is an assurance – a commitment to stand behind the customer’s entire investment in their furniture, backed by CenturyPly’s 40 years of manufacturing excellence.”

Ms. Nikita Bansal, Executive Director, CenturyPly, added:

“For years, our industry has measured warranty by one thing – replacing the plywood. But when we sat with our customers’ real cases, we found that’s not what keeps them up at night. A defect means dismantling furniture, redoing laminates and veneers, paying for labour and transport all over again. The plywood was never the real cost. The rebuilding was. Total Cover was built to solve exactly that – extending protection beyond the plywood to the furniture built around it, giving homeowners real confidence and peace of mind.”

To simplify the customer experience, homeowners can register their purchase online within 90 days, receive a digital warranty certificate and submit claims through the dedicated warranty portal or CenturyPly’s toll-free customer support. Every claim is subject to technical inspection and follows a structured service process. Once the ten-year Total Cover period concludes, the products continue to be protected under their standard warranties—Lifetime Warranty for Architect Ply and the remaining balance of the 20-year product warranty for Club Prime.

CenturyPly believes Total Cover establishes a new benchmark for the plywood industry by shifting the focus from conventional product replacement warranties to comprehensive financial commitment. Rather than covering only the plywood, the programme protects the customer’s overall investment in furniture, reflecting the company’s confidence in its manufacturing quality and service capabilities.

The launch is being supported by a nationwide marketing campaign featuring brand ambassador Aamir Khan, built around the message “Poore Furniture Ka Full Cost Wapas”, across television, digital, print and outdoor platforms.
