How did your collaboration with Shirke Kitchens’ for the Platino Series come about?
I had visited their store for its inauguration and was completely blown away by the finesse, colors, materials, and styling. It left a lasting impression on me, and I knew right then that I wanted to use their products when I decided to do up my kitchen. I stayed in touch with Kiran Shirke, who was incredibly accommodating and understood my vision perfectly.
What was your vision or brief for your kitchen, and how did you want it to reflect your lifestyle?
We are three generations living under one roof, and everyone has their own opinions and preferences — so combining all of that and keeping everyone happy was quite a challenge! Cleanliness is a huge priority for us; we like the kitchen platform and stove washed after every meal, especially with Indian cooking. We also needed ample storage, two refrigerators, and easy access to appliances like the oven and microwave. Shirke’s managed to fulfill all these needs beautifully.
What are the standout features of your Platino Series kitchen that you love the most?
The colours, the finish, and the smooth functionality of the drawers — everything feels so seamless. The kitchen is easy to maintain, which is a big plus. I also love the wide choice of shades — from soft, subtle tones to bright, bold hues, with options in matte and glass finishes. Everyone who visits ends up wanting a similar kitchen!
How do you feel your kitchen elevates your cooking or lifestyle experience?
Absolutely! You can see that on my YouTube channel — I’ve been sharing a lot more cooking videos lately. The serene colors and thoughtful design make the space inviting and peaceful. It’s become a place where the family naturally gathers, and even my kids have started enjoying their own cook-ins. It truly brings joy into our daily lives.
