The Nagpur home designed by Monita Patel & Associates stands out through its striking design language.

The splendid Nagpur home designed by Monita Patel & Associates spells an unconventional language through its rich design symphony.

A celebration of tranquillity with neutral hues and textures, the home has been meticulously crafted for Mr. And Mrs. Hitesh Panpalia. Explaining the clients brief, Monita says, “Mr. And Mrs. Hitesh Panpalia have lived in Nagpur their entire lives and have a local family business of textile mills in the outskirts of Nagpur. However, they longed for a home that truly represented their personalities. The clients professed a need for a luxurious abode that still felt like a home. Agreeing on a love of neutral colour palette with pop of colour, our team and the clients had a clear vision going right in.”

The entire home is a single-floored, three-bedroom design that oozes opulence. Team Monita Patel & Associates created an out-of-the-ordinary yet comfortable experiential design for the client. At the entrance, the designers ensured that one experiences a sense of wonder seeing the impactful luxury of the space. The formal drawing room is cosy yet spacious. The grooved stone wall and wooden panelling add richness to the space. “The sliding glass partition that separates the drawing and living area, is a conversation starter, it is designed such that there can be privacy at either end”, informs Monita. The living-cum-dining area exhibits free-spiritedness through the use of textures, furniture, and decor. The most important direction was of course versatility in design-with sliding doors that connect and open up various spaces of the home and manage to convert the cleverly designed multifunctional room into a den, library, study or an extension of the living room. In the pooja room, the onyx marble creates an aura of the mandir area.

The daughter’s bedroom is designed to exude a perky vibe, despite the white walls of the room, a distinctly fresh style is created by using hues of pink colour in the furniture and upholstery. A bay window has been designed for the daughter, overlooking the serene natural landscape. The master bedroom has sophisticated decor. The bed-back stone wall lends a luxurious touch, whereas the panelled wall having mouldings adds the oomph quotient to the bedroom. The veneer pelmet and wall panelling forms a stark contrast against the grooved stone bed back. The third bedroom is designed for the tech-savvy son the owners. The room receives a soothing amount of daylight, keeping the space bright and lively throughout the day. With the calming white of the bed back stone and the hints of pastel blues from the upholstery and study unit, the room exudes the charm of a calming oasis. The fourth room is a media room, partitioned off of the common area with ribbed glass sliding doors. “We have maintained a light neutral colour consistently on the wall punning. Going along with the monotonous theme, we have used light cream upholstered recliner sofas, with gold accents via the centre table”, explains Monita.

This apartment exudes luxury yet follows a warm and welcoming contemporary design appeal. Utmost importance is given to functionality, yet maintaining a subtle exquisiteness throughout the house. As far as the colour and material palette is concerned, the home features light neutrals for living room, common area and bedrooms with pops of colour intended via upholstery fabric of furniture used aiming for a seamless flow. Soft pastel blue and pink used in son’s and daughter’s bedroom lend the space a childish charm. Italian Marble with grooves pattern and fluting design acts as a highlight of each space; while wood veneer acts as a complimenting material against the elevations.

“Each project we undertake is curated to align with the client’s unique lifestyle and preferences. Our design philosophy embodies a harmonious synergy of fresh, contemporary designs complemented by luxurious elements, exquisite craftsmanship, and sophisticated finishes,” signs off Monita.
