Samsung Brings AI to the Everyday Refrigerator.

As Samsung marks 30 years in India, it is expanding its Bespoke AI range to Top Mount Freezer refrigerators in India- a deliberate move to bring AI-driven features to a category that sits well under 300L and speaks directly to the mass market.

The new line-up, available in 256L and 236L capacities, connects to Samsung’s SmartThings platform via Wi-Fi, giving users remote control over refrigerator settings through a smartphone. SmartThings Home Care monitors appliance performance in the background and notifies users of any issues or parts that may need attention- before they become problems.

The standout feature is AI Energy Mode, which studies usage patterns and estimates power consumption to reduce energy use by up to 10%. Daily, weekly, and monthly consumption data is accessible through the SmartThings Energy dashboard. Across the range, all models meet the Bureau of Energy Efficiency’s revised 2026–2028 guidelines, with Samsung among the few brands offering 3-star rated units under the updated norms.

On performance, All Around Cooling technology distributes cold air evenly across every shelf through strategically placed vents. Power Cool and Power Freeze enable quick chilling and faster freezing on demand. A dedicated Fresh Room compartment holds dairy, fruit, and beverages at a slightly cooler, more stable temperature than the main compartment. The Cool Pack in the freezer keeps food frozen for up to 12 hours during power cuts- a meaningful detail for Indian households where outages remain a reality. Select models also offer convertible 2-in-1 functionality, letting users switch the freezer into additional refrigerator space as needed.

The entire range features a flat-door design- minimal, clean, and built to integrate naturally into contemporary kitchen interiors. Software stays current through Smart Forward, which pushes regular updates over time. Door-open alerts via SmartThings add another layer of everyday convenience.

The range starts at ₹26,090 and is available at leading retail outlets and online via Amazon, Flipkart, and Samsung.com. A limited-period Samsung Care+ offer- valid April 8 to May 31, 2026- gives buyers four years of total coverage when a one-year extended plan is purchased, with a complimentary two-year extended warranty included.

Ghufran Alam, VP of Digital Appliances, Samsung India, puts it plainly: “We continue to innovate and deliver smarter and more energy-efficient solutions for Indian consumers- democratising AI technology and delivering accessible, tailored solutions.”
