Following the two limited editions of the Infinito table, created in 2021, and the Infinitamente table, produced in 2023, designer Roberto Lazzeroni unveils Infinitamente 2.0 for Milan Design Week 2026. This extra-large dining table retains the marble top while introducing two legs upholstered in precious Pelle Frau® leather, marking its entry into the permanent collection.
The True Over Time collection by Poltrona Frau emphasizes design that endures, remaining true to itself across the years. Among the spaces in the home most suited to connection, exchange, and sharing, the dining area stands out. The table represents the true heart of contemporary conviviality. With this in mind, Poltrona Frau expands its dining table offering with Infinitamente 2.0, a generous iteration of the Infinito table, over three meters long, seating up to twelve people. Its staggered double-oval marble top references both the complementary forms of Yin and Yang and the symbols of infinity and prosperity. The helicoidal legs, with gently chamfered surfaces, are upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather using the same technique applied to the dashboards of luxury cars, an exclusive Poltrona Frau process. The Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® Impact Less leather allows for a variety of color combinations, harmonizing both with the marble top and the surrounding chairs.
Infinitamente 2.0 represents the latest interpretation in a long story that began with the Infinito table by Roberto Lazzeroni, an exceptional objet d’art presented in 2021 as a numbered limited edition. Crafted from an exclusive block of “Rosso Lepanto” marble with unique characteristics, acquired exclusively by Poltrona Frau, it became a sculptural centerpiece of striking presence. In 2023, Lazzeroni reinterpreted the concept with Infinitamente, produced in a limited series this time with a white Versilia marble top, offered in two sizes: medium with an oval top and large with a staggered double-oval top.
Infinitamente 2.0 features a marble top carved from a single slab, divided into two opposing sections. The underside of each section is reinforced with a technical mesh to ensure resistance to bending, breakage, and impact. A stainless steel blade insert elegantly finishes the joint line between the two parts. Marble options include Bianco Carrara, Calacatta, Arabescato Venato, and Ombra di Caravaggio, with finishes in polished marble, semi-polished marble, or naturally polished marble. The polished finish is treated with a transparent polyester coating for enhanced surface durability and liquid resistance. The semi-polished finish receives an oleo-hydro repellent treatment, giving it a natural look and sufficient resistance to abrasion and heat. The naturally polished marble is crafted using abrasive grinding, delivering a brilliant surface that showcases the material’s natural beauty.
The base consists of two supports, each made of three elements joined by internal beech pins and metal plates inserted above and below the MDF sub-top. Both bases are constructed from MDF and birch plywood. The legs are upholstered in Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® Impact Less leather.
The Infinitamente 2.0 table will debut exclusively on April 14, during Milano Design Week, at the Poltrona Frau flagship store in Milan, located at Via Manzoni 30. In the following months, the collection will be available at selected Poltrona Frau stores worldwide and through Poltrona Frau’s e-shops in key European markets.
