The Senator Group India, a subsidiary of the UK-headquartered The Senator Group, one of the world’s largest office furniture manufacturers, has unveiled ‘FreeFlow’, an innovative office chair designed to redefine workplace comfort and ergonomics.
At the core of FreeFlow are two proprietary technologies—Auto-AdapTec and FinTec—that work together to provide dynamic spinal support without manual adjustments. Inspired by the counter-rotating movement of a fish, the chair’s unique design allows for synchronized reclining that intuitively adapts to the user’s weight and posture.

- Auto-AdapTec delivers continuous support for both the upper and lower back, maintaining an upright pelvis and aligning naturally with the spine’s curvature. It adapts seamlessly to movement and reclining positions, eliminating the need for manual intervention.
- FinTec, a system of flexible polycarbonate supports encased in layered foam, enhances comfort by flexing both horizontally and vertically, ensuring responsive back support unlike conventional static office chairs.
“Physicians and ergonomists have long warned that humans are not designed for prolonged sitting, which often results in back pain,” said Vamsidharr Setty, Managing Director, The Senator Group India. “FreeFlow addresses this challenge with an intuitive design that improves how people sit for longer periods. It does more with less—lighter, simpler, user-friendly, and sustainable.”

Designed by Germany-based industrial designer Volker Eysing, FreeFlow reflects The Senator Group’s ethos of blending design innovation with wellbeing.
The Senator Group entered India in 2018 with its first showroom in Bengaluru, introducing its two premium brands: Senator, known for tech-driven office furniture, and Allermuir, focused on contemporary workplace systems and soft seating. Today, the company has delivered over 150 projects across India, serving a wide customer base through diverse distribution channels.

“FreeFlow is born from an obsession to be better,” added Setty. “At The Senator Group, we believe incredible things happen when people can work better, move better, collaborate better, and focus better. Innovation is central to achieving this.”
