Pune, 29th June 2024: The Society Interiors & Design Honors Pune 2024 event concluded on a high note, drawing prominent dignitaries from various sectors to celebrate outstanding achievements in Pune’s architecture, design, and real estate segment. Hosted by the prestigious Society Interiors & Design magazine, the event was a tribute to luminaries, design innovators, and developers who have significantly shaped the city’s landscape.
Presented by the esteemed Sanjay Ghodawat Group and powered by the most trusted brand Alucobond, the event honored distinguished professionals and industry achievers who have made remarkable contributions to the building and construction sector in Pune.
The evening commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting by Chief Guest Ms Madhuri Misal, leader of Bharatiya Janata Party and a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, elected from Pune, the Dynamic and multitalented Mr. Sanjay Ghodawat, Founder and Chairman, Sanjay Ghodawat Group (SGG), Mr. Ranjeet Sharma, President & CEO of 3A Composites India, Ar. Shitesh Agarwal, MD, Sankalp Designers, Mr. Amit Dhariwal, Partner at Hridaan Realty, Mr. Ashok Dhamankar, Founder and CEO Magnate Publishing, and Ms. Swati Balgi, Consulting Editor, Society Interiors and Design.
The ceremony highlighted exceptional achievements across several categories, including Outstanding Contribution to Architecture and Interior Design, recognizing architects such as Ar. Madhav Joshi, Ar. Prasanna Desai, Ar. Mahesh Bangad, Ar. Vishwas Kulkarni, Ar. Vikas Achalkar, and Ar. Manish Banker. Creative Excellence in Architecture and Interior Design was acknowledged through awards to notable recipients including Sanjay Newaskar, Prakash Chandak, Tushar Kothawade & Chiranjivi Lunkad, Sunil Humane, Vinod Dhusia, Amol Hatkar, and Amit Sharma. Ar. Veekas Bhandari received the Design Legend Honours, accepted by his son Kalpak Bhandari, for his outstanding contributions to architectural design.
The event also recognized emerging talent, with Harsha Prabhanjan Raju M. from Austin honored in the category of Emerging Talent in Product Design for his innovative work.
Builders and Developers who have excelled in Residential and Commercial projects were also felicitated, including Aditya Sawant, Hrishikesh Manjrekar, Raju Bhise, Shreetej & Shreeraj Darode, and Rajan Khinvasara.
A significant highlight of the evening was the unveiling of Star Air’s new direct flights connecting Pune to Nanded, Hyderabad, Nagpur, and Ajmer. Additionally, the launch of Sanjay Ghodawat International School in Mulshi, Pune, offering state-of-the-art infrastructure and three international curriculum options, underscored Pune’s commitment to education and development.

The event concluded with a knowledge-sharing session on The Evolution of Fire Safety in Modern Design, hosted by Mahesh Ar. Mahesh Bangad , Director & Founder, Studio7 with esteemed panellists like Ar. Shitesh Agrawal, Founder, Sankalp Designers, Ar. Ketaki Poonawala, Founder, Ketaki Poonawala Designs, Ar. Sunil Patil, Principal Architect, Sunil Patil and Associates and Ranjeet Sharma, President, CEO, 3A Composites India Private Limited.
