Designed by LW Design, Copitas and Far & East not only redefines the city’s dining and nightlife scene but also stands out for its unique and dynamic character.
Perched on the 21st floor of Four Seasons Bengaluru, Far & East redefines sophisticated dining with its bold and innovative approach to Asian cuisine. Designed by the multinational firm LW Design, this high-altitude venue boasts a unique identity, distinct from the rest of the hotel’s aesthetics. The brief was clear: Copitas and Far & East were to be standalone entities with their own character, and LW Design delivered with flair.
While Far & East celebrates Asian fusion, it subtly acknowledges its Bangalorean setting through nuanced design elements. The tropical murals and ceiling features inspired by railway tracks nod to the city’s lush environment and bustling transport system without overtly referencing it.
The restaurant’s design is distinguished by recurring motifs, such as the intricately patterned brass screens that serve as both room dividers and striking backdrops. These patterns extend to embroidered cushions in the lounge, and the Louis Vuitton-inspired timber flooring complements the marble in the restrooms, adding opulence and cohesion.
The material palette enhances the venue’s atmosphere: dark honed marble floors paired with timber “rugs” set a sophisticated tone, while vibrant tangerine upholstery adds contrast. The bar’s 3D basket weave detail in leather-finished marble highlights the luxurious veins of Silver Portoro marble, with brass accents adding depth and refinement.
Among the standout features of Far & East are the Asian-inspired brass screens, which blend modernity with traditional design, the Louis Vuitton timber floor feature that creates a stylish backdrop, and the 3D marble basket weave bar counter, a centerpiece of exceptional craftsmanship and luxury.
