Nestled in the plush, suburbs of Mumbai, Apartment 1503 is a quaint and minimal home for a family of four, designed by Anjali Rawat Architects, a Mumbai-based multidisciplinary design firm. Founded by Architect Anjali Rawat, ARA’s architectural undertakings encompass a broad spectrum of projects, including commercial and residential buildings. The firm is committed to crafting designs that evoke inspiration. This modest yet elegant home that spreads across a 2500 sq. ft. carpet area is a warm and inviting abode which was the key element in the client’s brief. The concept utilized while designing this home revolves around class, contemporary elements, and refinement. The space exudes an air of opulence, achieved through the use of neutral colors on the walls and soft pastel tones in the bedrooms. This creates a striking contrast, particularly when juxtaposed with vibrant bar areas, which are further enhanced by colorful artwork and the presence of indoor plants. The design incorporates clean lines and an overall sense of spaciousness, imbuing the space with a welcoming and mellow ambiance. The colour palette employed across the entirety of the residence exhibits a harmonious blend of neutral hues complemented by a captivating burst of color. This carefully curated selection of colors showcases an aesthetic of refined simplicity and understated panache. Adding more insights on the material palette, Anjali says, “The material palette boasts exquisite upholstery fabric, opulent marble, and exquisite veneer paneling. These meticulously chosen materials not only elevate the overall aesthetic and quality of the design but also imbue it with an air of luxury and class, culminating in a truly cohesive and suave result.”
