The House of Things Unveils Its Flagship Gallery in Udaipur

Marking a new chapter in its remarkable journey, The House of Things—India’s trailblazing platform for curated art and design—has launched its flagship 25,000 sq. ft. gallery in Udaipur, nestled within a vast 65,000+ sq. ft. facility. The new space is a celebration of timeless craftsmanship, artistry, and considered design, brought to life by co-founders Astha and Manan Khetan.

Curated with finesse, the gallery brings together the signature styles of over 200 global and Indian designers, brands, and creatives under one roof. From collectible furniture to rare art objects, each piece is a tribute to enduring beauty and thoughtful innovation.

To commemorate the launch, over 30 designers have crafted exclusive Objets d’Design as part of An Udaipur Sojourn, a limited-edition showcase inspired by the city’s artistic heritage.

Gallery Highlights

The Pichwai House

A permanent exhibit celebrating the intricate beauty and cultural significance of traditional Pichwai paintings from Nathdwara. The space honors their spiritual origins while showcasing original works, miniatures by Mahaveer Swami, and contemporary commissions that trace the evolution of this sacred art.

Tastemaker’s Edit: Feroze Gujral x The House of Things

Curated by philanthropist and style icon Feroze Gujral, this bold edit brings spaces to life through striking palettes and rich textures. Her “Lime Oasis” features lime green and ivory set against craft-led furnishings, while “Desert Rose” dazzles with a pink quartz dining table and plush velvet accents — a true visual escape into elevated living.

The Material Library – Alchemy

A playground for designers and dreamers alike, this tactile studio invites hands-on experimentation with an expansive range of materials — from mother-of-pearl and bone inlay to fabric swatches, foiling, metals, wallpapers, and artisanal finishes.

Collaborative Design Spaces

Explore immersive settings curated by Rhea Kapoor and Ravi Vazirani (The Apartment), Maria Lozano’s dynamic installations, Nicobar’s relaxed coastal aesthetic, and the textural richness of Jaipur Rugs, Aadyam Handwoven, and Sage Living.

The Fashion Atelier

A luminous space where fashion meets art. On display: embroidered creations from Péro, contemporary resort wear from Verandah, pashmina treasures from Looms of Ladakh, and jewelry from Devi Jaipur and Jobner. Indo-French design collaborations and homegrown luxury fashion brands complete the narrative of wearable craftsmanship.

A Walkthrough of Wonder

As you enter through the Amla Bagh Courtyard, the gallery reveals itself as a multi-sensory experience — a journey through curated vignettes that tell stories of India’s contemporary design sensibility. It’s a space where the past and future meet in the present.

From Aadyam’s handwoven heritage to Rooshad Shroff’s sculptural marble lighting, Jaipur Rugs’ Lake City-inspired textiles, and Sage Living’s bespoke furniture, every object speaks a visual language of precision and poise.

Admire perfume bottles from Amrapali, celestial candle stands by Riddhi Khosla, or discover Ira Udaipur’s folkloric finds. Lose yourself in the textures of Taropa Home’s chikankari, IEVO’s jali sculptures, and Morii’s textile pieces forged from fire and earth.

Gaze upon Shailesh Rajput’s regal brass peacock, revel in Harshita Jhamtani’s architectural lamp designs, or let the sculptural totems from Tao Art Gallery and WANAS shift your sense of scale and meaning. Studio Namit Khanna’s warrior-inspired Amour lamp and the Gangaur Boat recreation by Princess Nivriti Kumari root the narrative firmly in the culture of Udaipur.

From the divine energy of Shreedhar Poddar’s Durga puppet panels to Bholanath Rudra’s watercolor marvel The Golden Boat, every piece invites pause, reflection, and wonder.

A Space That Lives and Breathes Design

At The House of Things, the gallery is more than a showcase — it’s an experience. Whether browsing kaleidoscopic installations by Objects of India, sitting on the brass-accented Weave Bench by Intent Made, or admiring Jayesh Sachdev’s golden tributes to feminine power — visitors are encouraged to not just see but feel.

Even the fashion room glistens with energy. Think embroidered storytelling from Péro, natural forms interpreted by Sonam Khetan, and the layered comfort of Aavaran and De Castro. With artisanal jewels and pieces that echo the culture of Rajasthan and beyond, every corner is a curated revelation.

More Than Retail

Complementing the physical gallery is a personalized concierge service that helps clients discover rare finds, commission custom pieces, and bring inspired interiors to life. Global shipping ensures a seamless experience for collectors and connoisseurs alike.

The Spirit of Udaipur, Curated

The House of Things Gallery is a living testament to artistic dialogue, bridging India’s rich cultural heritage with bold contemporary expression. It invites you to explore a world where craftsmanship meets concept, where every object holds meaning, and where homes are transformed into sanctuaries of style.
