At Salone del Mobile 2025, Italian luxury design house Poltrona Frau unveiled its latest collection, The Five Seasons — a tribute to the timeless interplay of nature, design, and self-expression. Inspired by the four traditional seasons and a conceptual “Fifth Season,” the collection evokes harmony, sensuality, and individuality across a series of furniture, lighting, and lifestyle offerings.
At the heart of the collection is the Fifth Season — a fusion of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter, inviting users to craft spaces that reflect their unique sensibilities. From the freshness of Spring to the introspective calm of Winter, Poltrona Frau embraces the emotional spectrum of nature with elegance and innovation.
Celebrating Icons and New Visions
Marking the 60th anniversary of Gio Ponti’s Dezza Armchair, the brand launches a special limited edition of just 60 pieces. Each features a rare Ponti illustration digitally printed on Pelle Frau® leather, celebrating the designer’s fascination with symbolism and hands.
The collection also debuts the Blisscape sofa by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba, inspired by the relaxed euphoria of Lou Reed’s Perfect Day. Its adaptable back cushions and oversized seats define a new standard in contemporary comfort.
In its first foray into bedroom systems, Poltrona Frau introduces the DressCove Night System, a sophisticated modular wardrobe offering freestanding or built-in closet solutions. Featuring Pelle Frau® leather accents and customizable compartments, it’s a statement in form and function.
Collaborations Reinvent the Classics
Continuing its collaboration with Fornasetti, the brand presents a refreshed 1919 armchair and a new take on the Isidoro trunk bar, upholstered with Fornasetti’s whimsical “Ultime Notizie” print.
A fresh partnership with Leica delivers the Fidelio Multimedia Cabinet, tailored for the Leica Cine 1 laser TV. This 280cm cabinet blends high-tech functionality with refined design, complete with a motorized screen and elegant leather or ash wood finishes.
Enhancing Comfort Across the Home
The seating range expands with updates to the GranTorino and Parka sofas. The Parka now includes a curved corner unit and a pouf, while GranTorino’s redesign improves cushioning, armrest height, and aesthetics.
Jean-Marie Massaud’s Archibald Armchair now offers fixed wooden and swivel bases. The Downtown Lounge reimagines the office chair with added lumbar support and plush comfort, perfect for home settings.
A Refined Dining and Bedroom Experience
Dining receives a sculptural upgrade with the new Mesa Ellipse table by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, offering elliptical marble tops in updated sizes.
The Duo Collection, created in partnership with CeccottiCollezioni and designer Roberto Lazzeroni, welcomes the new Duo Bed. Its raised, enveloping headboard, and L-shaped ash wood legs are echoed across complementary bedside tables, chests, and vanities, all available in rich material palettes like marble, lacquered glass, and fine leather.
Material Innovation
Poltrona Frau introduces Pelle Frau® Soulful, an evolution of its Impact Less leather with a richer texture and natural sheen, available in 12 colorways, including 7 new tones. Complementing this is the 2025 Textile Collection, featuring three new fabric lines and a modernized color palette.
Elevating Lifestyle with Beautilities
Expanding beyond furniture, Poltrona Frau’s Beautilities collection bridges design and everyday luxury. This year’s highlights include a new lighting collaboration with Six N. Five, debuting the digital art-inspired Moonbeam and Foliage lamps. Nymph, a glass-and-leather floor lamp by Sebastian Herkner, joins the line.
Lifestyle accessories also expand with Carlotta Fortuna’s travel bags and Simona Cremascoli’s patterned passport and card holders. The Giobagnara-co-branded tabletop series adds a picnic basket, champagne cooler, and raised tray, while the Games Collection now features Tic Tac Toe and Connect Four, artfully crafted from wood and Pelle Frau®.
