Milagro in Worli blends European heritage and timeless elegance, creating a space that is both inviting and sophisticated.
Milagro, is a brand new addition in the Worli-Prabhadevi-Dadar stretch which is becoming the city’s newest dining corridor. In a city with an insatiable appetite for new places, Milagro in Worli is an ambitious restaurant that is unabashedly opulent all over, right from its decor to its cuisine. Located in the heart of Prabhadevi, the restaurant sees two enchanting worlds converge: a serene fine-dining haven steeped in timeless charm, and a high-energy cocktail bar that’s an ode to the vibrancy of vintage jazz—each space crafting a distinct tale.

While the restaurant space at Milagro was designed by the founder herself, Francesca Smith from UK and the Cocktail Room was designed by Colby Murray from US. The execution of both spaces was carried out by Kasa Atelier. Sharing insights about what inspired her to design the restaurant, Francesca says, “The inspiration for Milagro comes from my deep admiration for European heritage architecture, paired with my love for creating calm and inviting spaces. The design focuses on neutral tones and textures, with chandeliers providing warm, mood lighting. Pops of colour have been introduced through historic Spanish paintings and the use of palms. For the Cocktail Room, the inspiration draws from the 1940s New York jazz bars and private members’ clubs, incorporating dark wood tones, dim lighting, leather sofas, and gold-accented furniture to evoke an atmosphere of old-world luxury and exclusivity.”

The restaurants design focuses on creating a warm, intimate atmosphere with a seamless connection between the interiors and the culinary experience. Through the use of textures, neutral tones, and cultural elements, the space aims to transport guests into a world where heritage, luxury, and comfort converge.
The design emphasizes attention to detail and aims to create an immersive environment that complements the restaurant’s Spanish culinary philosophy while offering a refined experience for every guest. The overall palette leans towards neutral tones, with a strong focus on textures and vintage-style elements. The furniture is custom-made, using heavy woods & heritage-style prints that tie back to the old-world aesthetic. “Grand arched ceilings enhance the sense of depth and proportion, while crystal chandeliers cast a warm, ambient glow across the space, creating a mood that is both romantic and refined. A standout feature of the restaurant is its curated collection of historic Spanish paintings by Joaquín Sorolla, which adds cultural context and storytelling to the interiors. By day, natural light filters in through balconies, giving the space a Parisian sunroom feel. By night, it transitions into a candle-lit dining room with Romance smooth jazz and opulence its reminiscent of Europe’s Heritage Restaurants,”explains Francesca.

The Cocktail Rooms aesthetic is moody and luxurious, dominated by dark wooden finishes, dim lighting, and plush Chesterfield sofas that are custom-made for the space. Gold accents are used throughout the furniture and décor, offering a contrast that enhances the sense of opulence. A central highlight is the 26-foot marble cocktail bar that shifts colors to suit the mood, acting as both a visual and experiential centerpiece. Gold-leafed arches frame the room and elevate its architectural appeal. Guests enter through a dramatic black and white checkered floor passageway and mirrored walls into the lounge, which is adorned with custom-made vintage-style grills and handcrafted gargoyles, adding layers of intrigue and craftsmanship.
The restaurant uses warm, ambient lighting with no direct overhead lights, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Francesca further says, “During the day, natural light flows through the balconies, giving the space a bright, sunlit feel. The colour palette is predominantly neutral, with an emphasis on textures and tones rather than bold colours. In The Cocktail Room, lighting plays a key role in highlighting design features like the gold-leafed arches and the 26-foot marble bar, which is usually red but changes colours to suit the mood & the Black crystal chandeliers which give a warm glow on the gold leaf arches to create a sense of opulence. Overall, lighting is used strategically in both areas to shape the ambiance and enhance the guest experience.” As far as material palette is concerned, polished black marble flooring sets a bold foundation for the room, while wooden veneer walls introduce warmth and texture, creating a contrast with the marble surfaces. The marble tables, with goldrimmed edges, add refinement, and the illuminated marble bar casts a sultry red or amber glow that shifts the room’s mood throughout the evening. Delicate gold-leaf accents adorn the arches, walls, and ceilings, adding a touch of grandeur and evoking the luxury of the 1940s. Vintage-style crystal chandeliers illuminate the space, casting dazzling reflections throughout the room. The black mirrored walls amplify these reflections, creating a multi-dimensional effect that adds visual depth and enhances the room’s overall glamour.

The Cocktail Room at Milagro is a space where vintage glamour meets modern luxury. The interplay of marble, gold leaf, crimson velvet, and crystal chandeliers creates an immersive and visually dynamic environment. The black mirrored walls enhance the sense of multi-dimensionality, reflecting the room’s luxurious elements and adding visual depth that invites guests to explore every corner of the space. Whether enjoying a quiet moment in a VIP booth or socializing at the bar, the Cocktail Room offers a unique and unforgettable experience of timeless elegance and modern charm.
