Kompress India Pvt Ltd, a frontrunner in the industry, is a first-of-its-kind brand redefining the art of storage & the science of space.

The year was 1989. Two revolutionary visionaries from Mumbai – Rajesh Gandhi and Kamlesh Shah set out to launch what was then a completely unheard-of business in India. It was a breakthrough concept of providing intelligent storage solutions that could potentially transform the entire goods storage process across a variety of sectors. Thus, was born Kompress India Pvt Ltd – a company that was brimming with immense potential in the pre-globalisation era of India.

It started off as a close-knit 5-member team functioning out of a compact 300 sq ft space. From these humble beginnings, the company steadily progressed and grew by completely changing the storage solutions landscape in not only India, but also select regions across the globe such as USA, Africa, Russia, UAE, and other SAARC nations. Today, it consists of 150 members at both office and factory levels, who have sincerely stood by the company through time.

It is presently led by the proficient leadership of Director Kinjal Gandhi. His sharp business acumen, in-depth knowledge of the storage industry, along with deeply ingrained ethics further shape the company’s legacy, paving the way for a promising future.

Kompress not only manufactures some of the most high-end machines, but also believes in creating lasting partnerships that stand strong through multiple projects. Their main goal is not merely producing storage solutions, but evolving this process into a science, with groundbreaking innovations that are thoughtfully designed and tested to transcend any limitations.

Around the time of this company’s establishment, the idea of Mobile Compactor storage systems was completely unknown to the storage industry. However, the two pioneering Directors seized the opportunity and decided to introduce this innovative invention into the Indian market. And it was a real game-changer! Mobile Compactors became synonymous with this brand, and went ahead to become their number one selling product.

Since then, the company has grown by leaps and bounds, introducing a range of products that greatly widened their scope and reach. They are also a leader in institutional storage, warehouse storage, and automated storage. Their space utilisation solutions are based on international concepts of storage and warehousing, thoughtfully curated by a highly experienced in-house research team. Supported by world-class design and manufacturing facilities, unwavering quality is the one element that is not compromised by them.

Alongside the production of technologically advanced products, they also take on specialised and turnkey projects, having executed many high￾profile jobs despite being met with extremely challenging situations. Their solutions have become the “go-to” rather than an exception for big clients.

Kompress approaches all of its projects in a truly methodical and meticulous manner, taking into consideration even the minutest detail.. They are known to work closely with each of their customers, right from the project’s inception to hand-holding them beyond its completion. To break down their process, they firstly take on the role of a design consultant by creating a full-fledged plan of the project by coming up with the most appropriate technical proposals containing designs and drawings. Once approved, they chalk out a commercial proposal listing out various pros and cons for the client to consider. Armed with a clear understanding of the SKUs, they put together an accurate project timeline. Extremely particular about catering to every need of who they serve, this company truly stands by the idea of “Customer is King.”

They believe in keeping an open ground when it comes to customised solutions and are known to have moulded them in accordance with specific industry storage requirements. For instance, the pharmaceutical sector comes with a set of very specific functionalities, stringent regulations, and medical standards that need to be met. Kompress has worked on several esteemed projects in this particular sector. One such project involved designing special Compactors for storing small cassettes to be utilised for tissue culture at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. By collaborating closely with stakeholders and developing a customised solution, they optimised space utilisation and achieved efficient storage, retrieval, and identification of the cassettes.

Another example would be their collaboration with a reputed Multinational Corporate in India. Kompress was entrusted with the job of coming up with a viable solution for secure storage and effortless retrieval of legacy documents, antiquities, paintings, and highly confidential documents. The client also needed space for storing bulk materials that would need to be sorted from time to time. The company therefore built a totally modernised and tailored storage system that seamlessly blended into the designated space and aesthetics. They used a mixture of Mobile Compactors, art storage Compactors, display units, and twin-level storage system. An indexing system of all racks and shelves for quick retrieval was also provided by them.

When looking at the future roadmap of this company, they plan to explore and venture deeper into the world of automisation and material handling, alongside dipping their feet into the office furniture space as well. Also, their next focus would be to integrate different innovative solutions leveraging technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Virtual Reality. This will provide clients with real-time data and reduced turnaround time for operations.

Kompress is a founding member of the prestigious Storage Solution Association of India and a part of the esteemed Society of Manufacturers of Industrial Storage Systems (SMISS), India. They have also been registered with several government and private organisations such as ISO, BIFMA, SEMA and GREEN GUARD.

The biggest challenge faced by this company when they first started was to change the people’s mindsets and open their eyes to the exceptional benefits that these scientific storage systems offered. Since then, they have not only succeeded in converting the conventional outlook by creating a new order, but also managed to carve a niche for themselves in a competitive market that is constantly evolving. Their eternal mission is to make one and all experience the art of storage and the science of space with products that carry the mark of supreme quality.
