In the ever-evolving world of design, there are creators who follow trends, and then there are visionaries who define them. Ar. Surbhi Jindal belongs unequivocally to the latter.

An internationally acclaimed, award-winning Architect, Lighting Designer and the force behind House of Bespoke by Da Light Hub, Surbhi Jindal is revolutionizing how we experience lighting—both as a functional element and a form of art. Her work is not just admired—it is felt, embodying craftsmanship, emotion, and soul. With each hand-crafted piece, she tells a story—of heritage, innovation, and the people of India.

Surbhi’s journey began with a simple truth: every space is unique, and so should be the light that inhabits it. As an architect and designer, she frequently encountered the challenge of sourcing lighting that matched the bespoke nature of high-end design projects. So, she created the solution herself.

House of Bespoke by Da Light Hub was born from this vision—a platform that designs and manufactures custom-built luminaires, each an exquisite work of craftsmanship. Working with skilled artisans from across India, Surbhi has created a brand that champions Glocal for Local, echoing the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat. It’s not just about creating luxury lighting—it’s about nurturing Indian craftsmanship, reviving traditional techniques, and providing meaningful employment in the process.

“We have the best talent right here in our country. Why look elsewhere when we can empower our own artisans and create globally admired designs from India?” she reflects.

From Sketch to Sparkle

Every piece from the House of Bespoke begins as a hand sketch—a designer’s whisper of an idea. From there, it is digitally rendered, prototyped, and then meticulously brought to life using fine materials like brass, glass, wood, leather, fabric, and semi￾precious stones. The final result? Lighting that speaks volumes— even when turned off.

These are not just fixtures. They are expressions. Crafted for premium residences, boutique hotels, resorts, workspaces, and public venues, each luminaire is tailored to its setting like a couture gown.

Award-Winning Creations One of the studio’s most celebrated creations is the Devaalaya table lamp—a luminous blend of elegance and spirituality. Featuring intricately sculpted divine figures, it radiates not only light but peace and positivity. Devaalaya recognized as the top 10 decorative lighting products of 2023 at the renowned d[arc] Awards, London, based on international peer voting

Then there’s Relievo—a large dome pendant in antique brass that’s more artwork than lamp. Inspired by the Indian peacock and created using relief techniques typically seen in textiles and heritage crafts, it took over ten months to perfect. Each feather, each stroke of stonework is the result of collaboration with National Award-winning artisans, many of whom hail from rural India. The dome glows not just with light, but with the passion of centuries-old tradition.

“Relievo is the culmination of deep research, design and pure artistry. It is a tribute to India’s legacy of Craftsmanship, “Surbhi Shares”

A recent marvel from Surbhi’s studio is The Beast—a bold, boundary-pushing 14-foot linear light installation that defies category. Made with 26 semi-precious stones mounted on dual arched brass frames, The Beast is kinetic, sculptural, and unforgettably dramatic. Viewed from different angles, the stones refract light in a kaleidoscope of textures and hues. By day, it is an art piece. By night, a celestial chandelier.

True to her roots, Surbhi continues to celebrate Indian heritage with her newest designs: the Yanai and Pagoda floor lamps. These pieces blend architectural elegance with cultural symbolism, offering a modern tribute to traditional Indian motifs.

Under Surbhi Jindal’s visionary leadership, House of Bespoke by Da Light Hub is more than a design studio—it’s a movement. One that’s redefining luxury lighting, honoring Indian artisans, and illuminating the world—one brilliant creation at a time.
